The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

All praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds, 2 the Merciful, the Most Merciful, 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 You alone do we worship, and You alone do we turn for help 5 Keep us on the right path. 6 the path of those to whom You have granted blessings, those who are neither subject to Your anger nor have gone astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
