3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
