We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
