Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the concrete reality? 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer. 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 But We bore you away in the Ark, when the waters rose high, 11 so that We might make it a reminder for you and so that attentive ears might retain it. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. 15 The heaven will be split; because on that Day it will be frail. 16 and the angels will stand on the sides, with eight of them bearing aloft the Throne of your Lord on that Day. 17 That Day shall you be brought to Judgement, not a secret of you will be hidden. 18 Then he that will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Ah here! Read ye my Record! 19 Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. 20 So he shall be in a pleasing life 21 in a lofty garden, 22 The fruits of which are near at hand: 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 Nor that I knew my reckoning! 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 "My power has perished from me!"... 29 It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” 30 Then throw him in the blazing Fire. 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 and did not feel any urge to feed the needy: 34 Therefore he has not here today a true friend, 35 and no food except pus 36 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.). 37
