Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
