Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
