Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
