Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
