۞ O men, it is you who stand in need of God. As for God, He is above all need, worthy of praise. 15 If He will, He could destroy you and bring about a new creation. 16 That surely is not difficult for Allah. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 Equal are not the blind and those who can see, 19 Nor are the darknesses and the light, 20 the shade and the torrid heat; 21 Nor are the living equal with the dead. Lo! Allah maketh whom He will to hear. Thou canst not reach those who are in the graves. 22 You (Prophet Muhammad) are but a warner. 23 Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: for there never was any community but a warner has [lived and] passed away in its midst. 24 And if they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, and with the Scriptures, and the book giving light. 25 Then I seized those who disbelieved, and how was My rejection! 26
