The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 The Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace, 3 Master of the Day of Judgment. 4 Thee alone do we worship and of Thee alone do we seek help, 5 Guide us Thou unto the path straight 6 The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
