The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
