The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
