The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And no trifle. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and so am I: 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
