And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
