Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
