The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O you who are clothed! 1 arise, and warn! 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 thy robes purify 4 Pollution shun! 5 And do not favour others in order to receive more. 6 But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant! 7 For when the trumpet is sounded, 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 For the disbelievers - not easy. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 And gave him abundant wealth 12 and sons standing before him, 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications. 16 I shall force him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 Indeed, he thought and deliberated. 18 and woe to him; how he plotted! 19 What an evil plan he has made! 20 Then he looked around, 21 Then he frowned and scowled; 22 then turned back, and swelling-up with pride, 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 this is nothing but the word of a mere mortal!” 25 [Hence,] I shall cause him to endure hell-fire [in the life to come]! 26 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - 27 It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned], 28 and it burns the flesh. 29 there are nineteen [angels] in charge of it -- 30 We have made only angels as the keepers of the fire (for they are the strongest in carrying out Our commands). Our informing (people) of the numbers of these angels is a trial for the disbelievers. It gives more certainty to the people of the Book and strengthens the faith of the believers. The people of the Book and the believers have no doubt about it. We have fixed the number to make the disbelievers and those whose hearts are sick say, "What does God mean by such a parable?" Thus, God guides and causes to go astray whomever He wants. No one knows about the army of your Lord except He Himself. This parable is a reminder for mankind. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
