Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and neglect the life to come. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
