The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9
