Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 O our Lord! take us forth from it; then if we return, we shall be wrong-doers indeed. 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
