The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta, Seen, Meem. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Belike thou shalt kill thyself with grief because they become not believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
