Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise unto Allah the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
