Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful. 34 [Or do they deny the existence of God?] Have they themselves been created without anything [that might have caused their creation]? or were they, perchance, their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Do they have any god other than Allah? Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him in His Divinity). 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
