The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 that hide, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
