The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
