۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
