Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
