Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 separating one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
