The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the female (infant) buried alive (as the pagan Arabs used to do) shall be questioned. 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
