Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 The sending down of the Book, wherein no doubt is, from the Lord of all Being. 2 Or do they say: “He has fabricated it?” Nay, it is the Truth from your Lord so that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you; perhaps they will be guided to the Right Way. 3 It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? 4 He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. 5 This is the All Knowing – of all the hidden and the visible, the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 6 Who hath made everything exceeding good which He hath created. And He originated the creation of man from clay. 7 then He made his offspring from a clot of weak water (semen). 8 Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. 9 And they say: "When we are (dead and become) lost in the earth, shall we indeed be recreated anew?" Nay, but they deny the Meeting with their Lord! 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death appointed over you will take away your soul, then you will be sent back to your Lord." 11
