Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night.
