In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
AS FOR THOSE who are bent on denying the truth and on barring [others] from the path of God - all their [good] deeds will He let go to waste; 1 And (as for) those who believe and do good, and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the very truth from their Lord, He will remove their evil from them and improve their condition. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow the falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. And thus Allah propoundeth unto mankind their similitude. 3 So when you confront the disbelievers, strike at their necks; until when you have slain them in plenty, tie them up firmly; then after that, you may either release them as a favour or take ransom, until the war lays down its ordeal; this is it; and had Allah willed He Himself could have taken revenge from them, but this is to test some of you with others; and Allah will surely never waste the deeds of those who were killed in His way. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition. 5 And admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them. 6 O ye who believe! if ye shall succour Allah, He shall succour you and make firm your feet. 7 And those who disbelieve, downfall shall be theirs, and He shall send astray their works. 8 That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah; so He has made their deeds fruitless. 9 ۞ Have they not then journeyed in the land and seen how was the end of those before them: Allah brought down destruction upon them, and the unbelievers shall have the like of it. 10 that is because Allah is the Guardian of the believers, and the unbelievers have no guardian. 11
