Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" 27 So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. 28 Then came forward his wife, clamouring, and she smote her face, and said, 'An old woman, barren!' 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. 38 but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' 39 So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 and it destroyed everything over which it passed and reduced it to dust. 42 And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
