The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The Clatterer! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He will be in a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what do you know what that is? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11
