The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
