And whomsoever We cause to live long, We reduce (him) to an abject state in constitution; do they not then understand? 68 And We have not taught him poetry, nor it befitteth him. This is but an admonition and a Recital luminous: 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Have they not seen what We have created from the labor of Our own hands? We have given them cattle. 71 And We have subdued them unto them, so that some of them they have for riding and on some of them they feed? 72 And they have therefrom other benefits and drinks. Will they not then give thanks? 73 And they have taken (other) gods beside Allah, in order that they may be helped. 74 They (the appointed Gods) cannot help them; and they and their armies will come (to Us), as captives. 75 Therefore let not their speech grieve you; surely We know what they do in secret and what they do openly. 76 Beholdest not man that We have created him from a sperm? Yet lo! he is a manifest disputer? 77 And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?" 78 Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing." 79 [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite. 80 Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. 81 Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is! 82 Therefore glory be to Him in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things, and to Him you shall be brought back. 83
