Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
