The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
