Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained; 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
