Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
