The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
