And We sent Moses with Our signs, and a manifest authority, 96 To the Pharaoh and his nobles, but they followed the bidding of Pharaoh, though the bidding of Pharaoh was unrightful. 97 He will go ahead of his people on the Day of Resurrection, and will lead them into the Fire, and evil indeed is the place to which they are led. 98 And they were followed in this [world] with a curse and on the Day of Resurrection. And wretched is the gift which is given. 99 That is an account of some towns which We recount to you. Of them some are still standing and some have been mown down. 100 And We did not oppress them at all, but it is they who wronged themselves – therefore their deities, whom they worshipped other than Allah, did not in the least benefit them when your Lord’s command came; and due to them, they increased nothing but ruin. 101 And similar is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the townships upon their injustice; indeed His seizure is painful, severe. 102 In this surely is a sign for him who fears the torment of the Hereafter, the day when mankind will be assembled together, which will be a day when all things would become evident. 103 And We do not delay it but to an appointed term. 104 The Day it comes no soul will speak except by His permission. And among them will be the wretched and the prosperous. 105 Now as for those who [by their deeds] will have brought wretchedness upon themselves, [they shall live] in the fire, where they will have [nothing but] moans and sobs [to relieve their pain,] 106 and there they shall live for ever, as long as the heavens and the earth endure, and as your Lord wills. Indeed, your Lord accomplishes whatsoever He will. 107 ۞ And as to those who are made happy, they shall be in the garden, abiding in it as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord please; a gift which shall never be cut off. 108 So be not in doubt (O Muhammad SAW) as to what these (pagans and polytheists) men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them). And verily, We shall repay them in full their portion without diminution. 109
