Man asks, "When I am once dead, shall I be raised to life?" 66 But does man not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. 72 When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?" 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say: As for him who remains in error, the Beneficent Allah will surely prolong his length of days, until they see what they were threatened with, either the punishment or the hour; then they shall know who is in more evil plight and weaker in forces 75 "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he known the unseen or has he taken a covenant from the Most Beneficent (Allah)? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. 79 To Us shall return all that he talks of and he shall appear before Us bare and alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worship and shall become their adversaries instead. 82
