۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 As such we gave it to the Children of Israel. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
