Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
YA SIN. 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 So that you may warn these people whose ancestors were not warned, they are therefore unaware. 6 Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward. 11 Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence). 12
