Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
Practice memorizing the Quran (Hifz) with different levels from beginner to expert. Exercise pages hide some words depending on the level, also done in beautiful colors.
Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the right to display the Surah Table of Contents, where you can go to any Surah or any page within.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
