Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
