Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 in a sublime garden, 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 and raised couches, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 and on the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
