Then think of the Day We shall summon every community with its leader. Those who are given their Record in their right hand shall read the Record of their deeds and shall not be wronged a whit. 71 And whosoever hath been in this life blind will in the Hereafter be blind, and far astray from the way. 72 And their purpose was to tempt thee away from that which We had revealed unto thee, to substitute in our name something quite different; (in that case), behold! they would certainly have made thee (their) friend! 73 Indeed, had We not strengthened you, you might have inclined to them a little, 74 In that case We would have surely made thee taste the double of the tornment of the life and the double of the torment of death, and then thou wouldst not find against Us a helper. 75 And verily they had well-nigh unsettled thee from the land that they might drive thee forth from thence. And in that case they would not have tarried after thee but a little while. 76 Such was Our way with those whom We sent before you. You shall find no change in Our way. 77
