The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
