Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
